Your Auto Pilot Setting

Each of us have a personal auto pilot that will affect the level of success we achieve in our life? I first heard this statement at a self development seminar I attended more than 20 years ago so I guess it?s time to dust it off and represent it to a new audience.

Here?s how it works: A pilot has control of Boeing 747 as it hurtles along the runway picking up enough speed to lift this giant aircraft from the ground; when the aircraft reaches the required speed he allows it to become airborne. There is never a thought in his mind questioning: ?What do I do next?? This is because before he even sat in the cockpit for this flight a detailed fight plan was lodged and approved so providing everything is going as planned his next actions will be something like this:

- Climb to the height of 10,000 feet on the current heading. - Alter course to a heading 297 degrees. - When on 297 degrees climb from 10,000 to 35,000 feet. - At 35,000 alter course to 315 degrees.

The pilot doesn?t actually sit their making all these alterations because before take-off he and the co-pilot have already programmed each of these instructions into the auto pilot. Once the wheels have been retracted and flight trim attained he will flick the aircraft onto auto pilot to follow these instructions.

A couple of hours into the flight the pilot may receive a message warning of heavy turbulence ahead at 35,000 feet and instruct him to bring the plane down to 28,000 feet. He will take over the controls and take the flight to the lower altitude. When he receives instructions to return to his pre-arranged flight path he simply flicks the auto back into action and it will resume the course of 315 degrees and climb back to 35,000 feet.

We each have our own built in auto-pilot, sometimes known as comfort zone. My wife is a typical example she has the feeling that unless there is $2,000 in her bank account she is broke. That?s fine and a very good, healthy trait. However, if a bank statement arrives and she finds a balance of $3,000 she is ecstatic and treats herself to a $1,000 shopping spree. This relates to her built in flight path being $2K then she gets a warning of turbulence ahead and takes the reins to $3K where she spends happily until she notices the account is just above or just below her beloved $2K. Then panic sets in and I?m on cheap food for a week or two.

As beautiful and lovely as my wife is (Score 53 Bonus Brownie points for that) she has no hope of ever succeeding in business with her auto mindset. To succeed in business that comfort zone figure needs to be many hundred thousand or million dollars. People are capable of changing their personal auto pilot but most choose not to because, like my wife, they?re perfectly happy in their personal comfort zone.

Because many readers, and subscribers, of this website have an interest in making extra income online this article should be read in conjunction with our articles on goal and outcome setting because this comfort zone is the major reason why so many attempt business and fail.

Learn where your auto pilot is set and be prepared to re-programme for scces.

When adjusting your personal auto pilot do it with a firm view of your desired goals and outcomes in mind.

How to Select Keywords

I have been asked how to select keywords for profit so often by would be internet marketers that I've lost count of how many so I did a detailed explanation on my private marketers blog David T McCarthy and this is the place where my regular followers go to find the no fuss approach to internet marketing.

It is a well known fact that there is nothing difficult about internet marketing so it has always been a mystery to me why more than 95% of those that attempt it fail - most never making one cent in income.

I feel there are two reason for this, the first is the internet marketing industry where overblown gurus charge exhorbitent prices for products designed to ensure you fail. Just stop and think about this for a moment: If they make a living selling things to new internet marketers that actually work then they would never be able to sell to you again would they?

The second and more important reason is that people do not know how to select keywords that will actually make money for them. This is why I wrote a long entry on my personal blog explaining how to find the words that will work for anybody.

It amazes me how little easily understandable explanations exist regarding keyword selection so it was natural that I attempted to put matters right in my blog post. There's no point in complaining about something if you can't offer an alternative exoplanation. so if you have any questions just enter them at the end of the blog and I will get back to you with a public answer.

Read my blog explaining how to select keywords for profit and when you master this system there is nothing except procrastination stopping you from making online income.

Video Marketing For Everybody

Video marketing is by far the most effective form of online marketing in the current internet marketing scenario. Because video is similar to television it cashes in on the learning market with great success. Everybody prefers to watch rather than read when learning. So what if you are able to offer very high quality videos teaching the most sought after subjects on line? Do you think people will visit your site? Take it from me they will and they'll thank you for the experience in the most positive way.

But I already hear the protests out there: "I have no idea how to plan and make a video that works." Or: "It costs many thousand dollars to have a professional video made and I can't afford that."

Relax, what if there was a way to get a brand new high quality training video made professionally for you at a very low cost and available through a very low cost membership site? Would that raise your interest level?

Video Marketing made easy for everybody. Follow this link to discover more.

Many experienced internet marketers became more interested in using videos when Google bought YouTube for a gazillion dollars. It is obvious that nobody spends that amount of money unless they have a reason to do so. But Google never, ever give reasons just as they never reveal their page ranking algorithm, so it was time to put the thinking cap on and try to calculate the benefit of videos to web rankings.

We put up two almost identical websites using the exact same keywords. The major difference was that one page had a video embedded and the other didn't and here are the search engine results:

- Without video the page ranks below pagen 10 in a Google search against over 4 million competing pages and has done so for more than six months.

- The page that had the video embedded ranked on page 1 within one week of publishing against the same 4 million plus competing pages. That was almost six months ago. Today it ranks #1 for our chosen keyword phrase.

We make regular income from the page with the video and zero income from the page without.

From the above experiemnt we are able to deduce that the Google page rank algorithm favors pages that contain a video above pages that do not. Our experience is backed by three internet marketers known to us who carried out similar experiments based upon our intitial findings.

In summary a video on your webpage is a ticket to higher rankings for the page and never forgetting that it is also an addeed reason why people searching for the relevant keyword will favor your page above others. It's a win/win situation that serious marketers should be exploring right now.

It makes sense to outsource anything you can't handle in house and video marketing is one such thing.

Finance and Relationships

Few people speak of the link between finance and relationships and yet it remains the worlds number one reason why marriages fail. Your bond may not require $millions but it does require sufficient funding to meet the needs of protecting your loved ones with a roof over their heads and food in their stomachs. This does not take into account all the other little musts of life like electricity, taxes and the myriad other needs that are far less than luxuries.

It is a fact that more relationships go sour at times of financial need than when the cash is flowing reasonably freely. To ignore that lack of funds puts your relationship under strain and is the same as placing your trust in winning a lottery. The odds are very long;it is far simpler and more productive to study the role of finance and relationships.

Now that we have made this point the question you should be asking is do we have a budget? A budget is the most basic step to controlling money and if lack of money is likely to damage your relationship starting a budget should be of paramount importance.

All finances are controlled by a budget and if you value your long term relationship you must have a family budget that everybody can access and be part of. Just do a Google on free home budget calculator and there are dozens to choose from. Just select the one that suits you best and that is normally the one that appears logical to you.

From the very beginning of your relationship both parties should agree on how finances are to be handled and draw up a budget aimed at achieving their mutual goals. If this is done honestly then you will always have a document that can help you when making decisions about finance. It will also go a long way to protecting your relationship from the arch enemy of all relationships and that is money problems.

Wisdom is in seeing something before it happens and taking action to avoid it. We all know the majority of relationship breakdowns involve lack of finance; be wise and start budgeting now.

Finance and relationships aside you still need to know a lot about making life together work and this link will take you to an interesting article on relationships and falling in love and falling out of love.

Goals And Outcomes

Goals and outcomes are often confused. I have attended many seminars and heard the ?guru? on stage telling people that they only have to set the target to achieve whatever they wish in life. If only finding outcomes was so simple?

People leave the seminar and set some of the most ridiculous goals and outcomes imaginable only to discover within a few months that they are no nearer achieving what they set than the day before they started on this mission. Personal success at this stage is still no more than a distant dream. After this they start to feel as though they are the failures of society and will never, ever, achieve any worthwhile goals.

In truth the guru, due to his/her insufficient knowledge of how the human mind works has done these paying clients the greatest disservice imaginable: They have contributed towards the destruction of self-belief in the majority of their paying audience. The mistake most make is that they preach that it's easy to reach your goals and believe that will lead their followers to favourable outcomes. The sad truth is that one requires the other - you can't just set an outcome and give your mind no stepping stones to reach that objective. The two work hand in glove.

The problem is that most people do not understand the difference between goals and outcomes. You set goals to achieve an outcome and for too many people the goal becomes an outcome. Maybe if I use a basketball analogy to illustrate before giving examples it will become clearer:

Basketball is a game played between two teams; the desired outcome of each team is to beat the opposing team. This is not a goal it is an outcome.

A player sets a goal of putting the ball through the hoop. This is a goal, not an outcome, because a goal is step on a predetermined path to achieve an outcome.

To achieve the outcome of winning the game the teams will set many goals, both defensive and offensive. The team that achieves most of its goals will achieve the desired outcome ? winning the match.

Example:

How often have you witnessed a politician that has become a president or prime minister take office after an election and then appear lost as to what to do? I?m sure 75% of you have claimed this of one politician at sometime during your life. What you are witnessing is the phenomena of a person that has set his outcome to become president or prime minister and after they achieve it there is nothing but a big black void. They have achieved their desired outcome and their minds have no further direction.

Successful politicians set becoming president or prime minister as a goal and have a set of planned actions to improve the lifestyle of the people they represent as an outcome.

A goal is a single step on the road to an outcome and all steps/goals should be easily achievable or you will trip and fall.

If you set an outcome to become debt free in the next two years your first goal should be to create a family budget. Your second goal should be to ensure that the entire family works with you to follow the budget. Your third goal should be to hit your cost cutting targets. Hence you are heading for your outcome by continually achieving a series of small goals. If you only have goals you cannot achieve an outcome because you have no idea where you are heading. If you only set an outcome and have no goals then the outcome remains too far away and you soon give up trying because you feel it is unobtainable. Goals and outcomes work closely to direct your mind to find the required links that give direction to your life.

Achieve Your Goals

?I need to know how to achieve your goals because I already know about setting goals and am still achieving very little.? Wrote Helen, an ayecasher regular reader; this brief message written at the end of last week kept repeating itself in my mind over the weekend. Finally I decided to quit everything and write an article on reaching goals because it is so significant to the essence of this websiteas well as the essence of being successful.

When it comes to how to achieve goals I truly believe in a gem of Eastern philosophy: ?When you find the right question the answer will materialise.? Japanese people will often ponder a question for many years before they ever come out and ask it; when they do ask the question is so sensible and logical that the answer is almost immediate. It is usually the right answer too.

So let us take this system of getting the question right and use a little writer?s license and apply the same philosophy to achieve your goals. Usually in the western way of thinking everything must be immediate and that comes to goal setting too.

We also have a fixation about money using the principle that everything costs something so if my goal is money I?ll soon be able to afford everything. Therefore many of us set a goal resembling: ?My goal is to have one millions dollars in two years.? Or: ?My goal is to have ten million dollars in five years.? I hold my hand up here and admit to setting my goals in this manner for many years until one day I awoke to a blinding flash of the obvious.

Today I use a different system to achieve my goals by visualizing what I want to achieve in terms other than monetary. Some of the things I have visualized are:

- My dream home in a dream location. - The car I want. - Where and how I will travel. - The legacy I will leave when I die. - How I want people to think of me after I leave this earth.

There are many more but the above will give you an idea of the way that my mind works these days. I truly believe in the Power of Attraction and I know that my sub-conscious mind is capable of reaching every goal I set providing I can truly visualize it.

What I write here isn?t new or unique these principles were in place from the very first days of the human race. The problem is people have lost the art of visualization. Our powers of visualization start being attacked from our first day at school.

Remember those beautiful colourful pictures your children used to paint of you when they?d give you purple hair and green lips. What happened to them from day 1 at school everything changed. Teachers told them people don?t have purple hair or green lips your picture isn?t realistic! That is the start of a routine called education that is designed to turn out like thinking robots by the time graduation is achieved. In general visualization is dead by the time you are around age seven or eight.

If you cannot visualize where you want to be you can never reach a destination. Sadly, this is why so many people live their entire life without getting close to their true potential.

In summary, one way of achieving goals is to bring back visualization and to build a mental picture of what you want out of life and truly believe that you are capable of doing it. The most common reason for failing to achieve your goals is that you don?t truly believe that you can achieve them. This is because you set your early goals too high and fail to achieve them. Then you start doubting your ability and worth.

If you are new to goal setting do yourself a favour and set a fairly easy achievable goal. It may be something so simple as to save 2% or 5% of your gross wage for an entire year to enable you to buy a new computer at the end of the year. To motivate yourself to do this you must visualize the computer and all the added benefits that it will have that your present computer doesn?t have.

Visualize it before you go to sleep each night and when you wake up each morning. When you reach this milestone and the new computer is on your desk you will know that you can achieve your goals and suddenly the world will open to you.

Those interested in achieve your goals will probably be interested in goals and outcomes too.

Lose Weight Fast Tips

How do you lose weight fast? How many times have you wondered if there was an answer to that question. The cold hard fact is that there are many ways to lose weight quickly but there is no guarantee that it will work for you simply because it has worked for somebody else. In this article we are going to look a little deeper and attempt to determine what we should look for if we need to lose weight.

Before going into what has a chance of working let us be clear that you are not what you weigh but what you measure. When I diet, which is frequently, I hide the scales because I find they can be distracting. A far greater indicator is my waistband, the size of my thighs and my butt. Isn?t it because of these measurements that we go on a diet?

So, having established that we wish to lose weight to enhance shape we can immediately discard all programs that are focused solely on fast weight loss. Trust me on this one because these plans do work but what they don?t tell you is that the faster you lose it the faster you regain it.

Also there are many diet programs around that offer suspect nutritional advice. You should never go near a diet that isn?t planned by a qualified nutritionist. The object is to lose weight comfortable, not to damage your health. Another good tip is to visit your GP if you are planning to lose a lot of weight and get professional advice concerning what you can or can?t do

Now we?ve established some ground rules for our own safety let?s identify the type of program that will suit you best:

- Think long term by choosing a program that will put you on to fat burning foods. It is a fact that some foods do actually work as fat burners and once you get them into your diet your weight loss is likely to be permanent.

- As you burn fat you will lose weight fast and become more active and you can increase your exercise and fitness regime and this will increase overall health and make you feel even better.

To lose weight fast does not have to be hard work if you go about it in the right way as explained above, here are some weight loss tips for you to ponder:

- Don?t make it a chore, start with a ?can do? mindset and be prepared to wait a few weeks before you start seeing measurement improvements.

- Most importantly do not be shocked if you actually gain some weight after you increase exercise because muscle by volume is heavier than fat. This is the reason why we made the point earlier that you are what you measure, not what you weigh.

- Be reasonable in your quest to lose weight fast. Learn about fat burning foods and build them into your permanent diet. Some fat burners may shock you but try them; they do work.

This is the program I used to successfully lose weight fast; take a look it may suit you too.
