Inspirational Poem

The most inspirational poem I ever heard is still typed ad slightly crumbled in my wallet ? I am never without and often take it out and read when the going gets tough. Sadly I don?t know who wrote but I first heard it more than 20 years ago when attending a seminar on self improvement more than 20 years ago. So I?ll than seminar presenter Paul Hanna for first inspiring me with this poem:

Don?t Quit.

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,

When the road you?re trudging seems all uphill,

When the funds are low and the debts are high,

And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,

When care is pressing you down a bit ?

Rest if you must, but don?t you quit.

Life is strange with its twists and turns,

As every one of us sometimes learns,

And many a person turns about,

When they might have won if they?d stuck it out.

Don?t give up, though the pace seems slow ?

You may succeed with another go.

Often the goal is nearer than it seems

To a faint and faltering person;

Often the struggler has given up

When they might have captured the winners cup;

And they learned too late when the night came down

How close they were to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out ?

The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,

And you never can tell how close you are,

It may be near when it seems afar.

So stick to the fight when you?re hardest hit ?

It?s when things seem worst that you mustn?t quit.

This applies to all people in all walks of life that have a goal and face problems achieving it. Goals and outcome?s decide who will be the winners in this life if it takes an inspirational poem to get us all focused and determined than I suggest you make a copy of this poem, or when like it, and carry it with you everywhere. To me it acts a refocusing point and usually I read it when I need to refocus and it never fails me.

There is another proviso that should be added here and that is that the definition of insanity is to do exactly the same thing again and expect a different outcome. I use this mantra when things are going wrong and invariably my sub conscious brain finds what I?m doing wrong and comes up with an alternative suggestion.

A good inspirational poem or mantra is worth its weight in gold.

This inspirational poem should be read in conjunction with a reaffirmation of your goals and outcomes in life.
