The question of does Ad-Sense make money was recently reopened during a discuss I had with a few internet marketing contacts during a weekend meeting we hold once each year. Many of our regular readers will be aware that until now I haven?t been the greatest lover of Ad Sense as a monetization model for websites. However I hope they also understand that I have an open mind and am willing to persuaded about any ideas providing they meet basic standards of logic.
The topic was raised in a roundabout manner when we were discussing Google?s recent page ranking algorithm being changed to blog out all the spammy sites that were using other people?s content and had taken over the AdSense business over the past years, even though Google supposedly downgraded the use of copied content. The new algorithm finally rewards quality, original information on a webpage. I started the conversation by commenting how some of my websites had risen in ranking under the new algorithm.
Soon the discussion went into reverse and we were all dreaming of the early days of Google advertising when you could make a reasonable income simply by allowing these little ads to appear on our web pages. Back in those days there was over 10,000 webmasters earning in excess of $20,000 per month. Life was smooth and easy.
Then along came the wise guys who decided: ?Let?s automate the process and just take articles from article sites and automatically publish one per day on our own websites. Google put the ads on them and we make a fortune.? Like anything that is over-exposed it soon dies. Web searchers used to click on the ads out of curiosity in those far off days. Since the wise guys came on the scene people were over-exposed to these classified style ads and simply stopped clicking on them. It?s called ad blindness in the industry.
The weekend discussion led to an exchange of ideas about how, by being very selective and choosing only high paying keywords in niches we can rank highly in, Ad-Sense is on the way back and can make reasonable income if operated over a select few niches where advertisers pay a high cost per click to generate leads.
Find the right Ad-Sense system, like the one listed below, follow it religiously and watch the income flow in.
Ad-sense as a form of web page monetization makes a lot of sense with the right system. It eliminates all selling, list building and allows you to concentrate solely on providing useful and original information,
