Continuing our earn online series of article we wish to look at some of the scams the self-proclaimed gurus use when attempting to convince you to buy one of their get rich quick schemes.
The first statement to watch out for is: ?This is not a get rich quick scheme? Then they go ahead and explain how you can earn an income you?ve previously only dreamed of making if only you buy their product. A good rule to follow is: ?If it looks too good to be true it probably is.?
The next scam to be aware of is when they show you screen shots of their Clickbank account(s). About 18 months ago we created a file of these screenshots and are constantly amazed at how often the same screenshots appear for different products. Sure we all want to get paid for selling something online but are we being paranoid when we see two, three or four different products making exactly the same sales on the same dates? Or are we witnessing screen shots of other people?s screen shots? You decide. You need to if you are ever going to earn online income rather than pass online income to one scheme after the next.
A good check is to check the days on the current calendar. Clickbank will show something like Mon March 3 and an amount that the seller is claiming as income made. This year March 3 was a Thursday so what year are they talking about? Obviously many years before whatever they are selling was created.
The biggest scam of all is that they never show you whether the account refers to affiliate income or vendor income. Usually they are showing a vendor income chart and because they pay their buddies 80% on all sales to their email lists then only 20% of the amount they show is what they actually make. It is not a true picture of what they earn online.
The truth is that most of these people that claim to teach you how to become an affiliate marketer are not very good at internet marketing themselves. Sure they were good in the good old days when adwords was new but since then have made a living telling others how to get rich quick and only selling to their massive email lists. This is not the way we mere mortals sell because we don?t have big subscribers lists and lot?s of buddies with big subscribers lists. To earn online as an affiliate is a process that starts slowly and gathers momentum. You will not accelerate the learning process by looking over the shoulder of somebody that only sells digital get rich quick schemes. This person does not have a clear understanding of what works online today. This is why 95% who attempt to become affiliate marketers fail.
Sure we need to build a list but be satisfied to build slowly in the knowledge that you have given freely to your subscribers and build trust over a period of time. When you have built trust you will start making bigger sales but only if you never betray the trust you have built.
In conclusion we can only say be careful before you buy anything that appears too good to be true and be prepared to earn online at a gradual pace. Making money fast is best left to lottery winners.
